For the Cuento this month, I am sharing a fun video of my road trip from Los Angeles to Santa Fe, New Mexico, in the American Southwest. In the beginning, it would have been through the mountains in Arizona, but due to a massive snowstorm, it ended up being through the magnificent desert. What a spiritual experience! I'll stay here until the late spring, for a purpose you'll learn soon.
With the permission of the ancestral spirits of these lands, I will be their guest to delve into indigenous spirituality and ceramics from the female perspective of the grandmothers of these lands. After being here for about two weeks, I am in awe at how this region preserves and celebrates its indigenous culture and how similar we are. I'll let you know about my retreat as time passes and I interact more with the culture and the people.
