For the year's last Cuento, I'm bringing something different to what I was creating for you. I made a video for sharing something extraordinary I learned while studying Taino clay beings.
As many of you are aware, my interest in Taino pottery has grown to the point that it is my current area of interest, following my immersion into rural Kiskeya's ancestral spirituality and ceremonial music. The fact that it was art created by women and girls, as well as the level of sophistication they could achieve, fascinates me.
I hope this information will be valuable to you as we remain in awe of our ancient grandmothers' pottery mastery.
